Design & Comfort
A Mid-Century Armchair for Everyday Sitting
The gently reclined backrest and open wooden armrests give No. 12 the lightness typical of mid-century design, while the upholstered seat and back keep it genuinely comfortable. At 11 kg it is easy to move when rearranging a room or cleaning around it.
The seat sits 43 cm above the floor with a 41 cm seat depth – a compact footprint that still supports a relaxed posture rather than a formal, upright one.

The frame and legs are made of solid wood with a natural finish, left visible as part of the design rather than hidden under fabric. The seat and back are upholstered in Venus Velvet, a knitted velvet chosen for its resistance to everyday wear.

Why knitted velvet
Unlike woven velvet, a knitted base gives the fabric slight elasticity, which helps it sit smoothly over curved upholstery without creasing. Combined with the EasyClean, PetProof and WaterRepellent finishes, it is a forgiving choice for households with children or pets: most spills can be wiped off before they soak into the pile.

Screen colours are never exact. If the shade matters, order a Venus Velvet fabric sample before deciding.

Care & Cleaning
Caring for Your Velvet Armchair
Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment, following the direction of the pile. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth – thanks to the WaterRepellent finish most liquids can be lifted before they reach the base fabric. Do not rub, as this flattens the pile.
Do not bleach, machine wash or steam the upholstery. Keep the armchair away from radiators and other direct heat sources, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which fades any textile over time.

Every No. 12 is upholstered to order in our workshop in Mroczen, Poland. Production and delivery times are confirmed at checkout, as they depend on the chosen fabric and current workload.
We ship from Poland within the European Union. For destinations outside the EU, local import duties and taxes may apply and are payable by the recipient.

Is the armchair suitable for a small room?
